American Federation of Aviculture The American Federation of Aviculture is a nonprofit national organization whose purpose is to represent all aspects of aviculture and to educate the public about keeping and breeding birds in captivity. AFA has a membership consisting of bird breeders, pet bird owners, avian veterinarians, pet/bird store owners, bird product manufacturers, and other people interested in the future of aviculture. AFA facilitates exotic bird owner awareness of the special needs of the species they hold, their conservation status, up-to-date research findings enhancing the well-being of the birds, and the state and federal regulations pertaining to exotic birds.

American Cockatiel Society The American Cockatiel Society is a nonprofit national organization whose purpose is to encourage an interest in and understanding of the cockatiel as a pet or exhibition bird and improvement of the cockatiel through closed banding, selective breeding and record keeping. ACS strives to increase interest in mutations through study pertaining to the cockatiel and foster the exchange of ideas, and inform all members throughout the world through the medium of the American Cockatiel Society Magazine. ACS supports research pertaining to the nutrition and diseases of cockatiels. ACS also sponsors and supports annual American Cockatiel Society specialty shows and trains and provides qualified judges so that standards governed cockatiel show judging will be of uniform quality.

Save the Gouldian Fund Save the Gouldian Fund is a not-for-profit charity raising funds for the research and conservation of the Gouldian Finch, a highly endangered Australian bird. The aim of the Fund is to promote research into the Gouldian finch, and to provide conservation and management strategies to protect and promote wild Gouldian finches. The Fund also continually provides up-to-date information for bird breeders to further enhance the practice of aviculture and the well being of all captive Gouldians throughout the world.

The National Finch and Softbill Society The National Finch and Softbill Society is a nonprofit national organization whose purpose is to promote the enjoyment of keeping and breeding Finches and Softbills to all interested parties, enhancing our knowledge of the proper care of these birds, encouraging breeding programs, and working with other organizations for the preservation of aviculture in this country.

World Parrot Trust The World Parrot Trust is nonprofit international organization promoting parrot conservation and welfare by working with parrot enthusiasts, researchers, local communities and government leaders to encourage effective solutions that protect parrots. The World Parrot Trust conducts and supports field conservation projects, works to eliminate the international trade in wild caught parrots, and increases public awareness of the plight of parrots, in the wild and in captivity.
